Here is my review of the xTool S1 40w. (White edition)
The xTool S1 40w is a fully enclosed diode laser cutter that boasts a powerful 40w laser module, making it a compelling option for both beginners and experienced users. This review will delve into the key features, performance, pros and cons, and help you decide if the S1 is the right laser cutter for you.
Key Features:
40w Diode Laser: Offers ample power for cutting and engraving a wide range of materials, including wood, acrylic, leather, cardboard, and more.
Fully Enclosed Design: Enhances safety by preventing stray laser beams and fumes from escaping. No need for goggles.
Autofocus: Simplifies setup and ensures consistent engraving quality.
You can adjust measure the depth of your materials and even create the shape of what you want to engrave, simply by a couple clicks.( So if your doing a challenge coin. You simply put the coin on the bed and it will assist you to get the right dimension.
No more wonky engraving 😁)
Air Assist: Improves cutting quality and reduces charring by blowing away debris during operation. Choose your own setting or switch it to auto.
Fume Extraction: Keeps your workspace clean and free of harmful fumes.
Long enough pipe to run it well away from the machine and it the window.

I personally use xcs with the S1. But this is my personal choice.

However, as with any diode laser, thicker materials or reflective surfaces might require multiple passes or specific settings.

I was sent the s1 basic and it included everything BUT please double check when you place your order.

It really is a very awesome machine.
And one I think I will be using for a very long time to come.
